My name is Katie and I live in Rochester, Kent. I have always had a passion for food and I’m one of those people who actually enjoys writing my shopping list. My food focus has changed now I have two boisterous sons as I have to prepare quick, healthy family meals with one hanging off my leg and the other demanding I dress up as a superman pirate!
So I’ve set-up a blog documenting the recipes that work best for us and completed a Nutrition and Weight Management course at Future Fit to become a qualified Nutrition Advisor. What I’ve learned is that you don’t have to cut out food types or spend hours at the gym to be healthy - it’s about eating a balanced diet, identifying bad habits (and changing them), increasing your activity levels and fitting everything around your individual routine.
For me, the routine is preparing healthy meals quickly and doing regular, short bursts of exercise at home around the kids – but for you, the routine may be very different. I’m happy to work one-to-one to find what works best for you – I can even provide a friendly space where children are welcome while we discuss your plan. And the superman pirate outfit is optional.
